Venezuala's President, Hugo Chavez is dead. His death was announced in Venezuala on national television by the country's Vice President and Chavez's heir apparent, Nicolas Maduro prompting Chavez's supporters or Chavistas as they are known to pour out on the streets of the nation's capital Caracas to mourn his death Chavez died in a military hospital in Caracas aged 58.
