People should stop jumping from planes if they are not experts!
Makenzie Wethington is in a good condition according to surgeons, despite multiple injures including damage to her liver, pelvis, lumbar spine in her lower back, shoulder blades and ribs.
Despite the odds, the teen is currently receiving treatment in an intensive care unit and is expected to leave soon.
Oklahoma trauma surgeon Jeffrey Bender said: ‘I don’t know the particulars of the accident, as I wasn’t there. But if she truly fell 3,000ft, I have no idea how she survived.’
The teenager’s sister Megan told local news that the primary parachute didn’t open and Makenzie spiralled out of control towards the ground with her father, who jumped first, watching in horror.

Lenovo to Buy Motorola Handset Business for $2.91 billion
This is interesting because we in Nigeria and other African countries have found Chinese brands like Tecno and Gionee quite revolutionary in terms of giving people cheaper access to smartphones...
Lenovo to buy Motorola Mobility from Google for $2.91 billion
Lenovo Group said on Wednesday it agreed to buy Google Inc's Motorola handset division for $2.91 billion, in what is China's largest-ever tech deal as Lenovo buys its way into a heavily competitive U.S. handset market dominated by Apple Inc.
It is Lenovo's second major deal on U.S. soil in a week as the Chinese electronics company angles to get a foothold in major global computing markets. Lenovo last week said it would buy IBM's low-end server business for $2.3 billion.
The deal ends Google's short-lived foray into making consumer mobile devices and marks a pullback from its largest-ever acquisition. Google paid $12.5 billion for Motorola in 2012. Under this deal the search giant will keep the majority of Motorola's mobile patents, considered its prize assets.
Shares of Google climbed 2.6 percent to about $1,136 in after-hours trading. Google Chief Executive Officer Larry Page said that Google would be best served by focusing on smartphone software rather than devices.
Reuters reported the deal earlier on Wednesday, citing sources familiar with the deal.
The purchase will give Lenovo a beach-head to compete against Apple and Samsung Electronics as well as increasingly aggressive Chinese smartphone makers in the highly lucrative U.S. arena.
In 2005, Lenovo muscled its way into what was then the world's largest PC market by buying IBM's personal computer division. It has powered its way up the rankings of the global smartphone industry primarily through sales on its home turf but had considered a U.S. sortie of late.
"Using Motorola, just as Lenovo used the IBM ThinkPad brand, to gain quick credibility and access to desirable markets and build critical mass makes a lot of sense," said Forrester Research analyst Frank Gillett.
"But Motorola has not been shooting the lights out with designs or sales volumes in smartphones. So the value is simply in brand recognition to achieve market recognition faster - and to expand the design and marketing team with talent experienced at U.S. and Western markets."

Arsenal sign £150 million deal with Puma as new kit supplier
Do I like Puma jerseys? I am not sure...
Arsenal sign £30million-a-year deal for Puma to become their official kit supplier
Arsenal have today announced a £150 million five-year kit
deal with Puma that is the largest in British football history.
The deal, which will increase Arsenal's annual revenue by
fully £22 million, will begin from next season and represents another huge lift
in the spending power that will be available to Arsene Wenger.
Arsenal's current deal with Nike dates back to 2003 and is
worth around £8 million a year. The Puma contract is worth a basic £30 million
annually, although that could rise to £34 million with possible add-ons.
It surpasses all existing kit deals in English football,
with Manchester United currently receiving £25.4 million a year from Nike and
Liverpool being paid £25 million by Warrior. United, though, are soon expected
to announce a new £76.9 million per year deal with Nike.
Barcelona and Real Madrid's current kit deals are
respectively worth £27 million and £31 million.

Crazy! Man Runs into Burning Home to Save Xbox
He did not dash into his burning home to save a wife, child not even cat but an Xbox? This guy needs mental evaluation...
Man runs into burning building to rescue his Xbox
A CHAP HAS MADE THE NEWS by running into a burning house to
rescue his Xbox.
The unnamed Kansas man had such a protective spirit for the
Microsoft games console that we think he should be placed at the helm of the
firm immediately.
It is a certainty that he would retain the the Xbox
business, something that cannot be said for any of the potential Microsoft CEO
candidates.
We do not know whether it was an Xbox One or an Xbox 360,
but let us assume that it was the former, which is far more expensive than the
latter and was released only fairly recently.
ABC News 15 has a short report on the incident. It said that
our hero woke up during the night to find himself in a burning house. He legged
it outside, naturally, but then found he was without his trusty games console.
Possibly because he was deeply involved in playing first
person shooters or Minecraft, he threw caution to the winds and dashed back
into the inferno.
Although he did manage to rescue the games console, we hope
that he didn't have to dig too deep behind the telly for the cables. He did
suffer some smoke inhalation, which can happen if you run into a house that's
on fire.
Paramedics checked him and said that he was fine. It is
unknown whether the kerbside consultation turned into a Playstation versus Xbox
debate.
According to fire officials, a faulty fuse box sparked the
fire and caused about $80,000 damage. If not for the quick thinking of this
brave man, it likely would have been around $80,500.

Indomie gets award as the most trusted brand in Nigeria
Do I trust Indomie? I think so...
Indomie wins Award
Indomie Noodles, from the stables of Dufil Prima Foods Plc,
has emerged winner of the Most Trusted Brand award by Brand Health.
This award comes after it recently bagged the Best Effort in
Brand Consistency Award (FMCG category) from the Brand Journalists Association
of Nigeria (BJAN).
Speaking on the sidelines during the award presentation,
Chief Executive Officer of Brandhealth, (organizers of the award) Emman
Udowoima, said from time immemorial, one vital thing consumers value about what
they consume or use is trust.
“Trust or lack of it is a habit. It is what we constantly
do. I do not know of anyone or consumer who wants to be associated with
untrustworthiness, because before an individual or a family takes or consumes a
product – particularly an edible one – he needs to be assured that it is not
one that could affect his or her health.
“Everyone wants to associate with a brand that is complete
with 100 percent quality, enriched with great value as it concerns health
vitamins. All this criteria was put out for the general public to assess and
ultimately select their most trusted noodles brand. The feedback we got afterwards identified
Indomie Instant noodles as most trusted brand among its contemporaries in the noodles
market segment. The brand beat others convincingly, I must add,” Udowoina said.
A visibly elated Tope Ashiwaju, Public Relations/Events
Manager, Dufil Prima Foods, thanked the organizers of the award, saying 2013
was no doubt an eventful year of hard work and dedication to utmost quality
which did well to earn the brand a handful of awards based on constant
innovations and unwavering quality. This feat has since given the company a
firm control of the country’s noodles market.
“Winning the Most Trusted Brand Award for 2 consecutive years
as well as the BJAN awards is a very significant honor as it reflects Dufil’s
commitment to quality, dependability and reliability which ultimately adds up
to great value,” said Ashiwaju. “Dufil will continue to deliver the best
products consumers have come to know us for over the years.”
