Facebook Introduces Reactions Emoji

Have you ever felt awkward liking bad news on Facebook? You know things that are not really likeable but you feel limited on the kind of emotion you can express with the button?
Apparently, you are not the only one, even, Facebook's founder and CEO, Mark Zuckerberg feels the same way and now he and his team have launched reactions which is basically adding emoji with different themes to the like button, read his post about it below:
Today is our worldwide launch of Reactions -- the new Like button with more ways to express yourself.
Not every moment you want to share is happy. Sometimes you want to share something sad or frustrating. Our community has been asking for a dislike button for years, but not because people want to tell friends they don't like their posts. People wanted to express empathy and make it comfortable to share a wider range of emotions.
I've spent a lot of time thinking about the right way to do this with our team. One of my goals was to make it as simple as pressing and holding the Like button.
The result is Reactions, which allow you to express love, laughter, surprise, sadness or anger.
Love is the most popular reaction so far, which feels about right to me!

I think this is a cool new feature that has been over due on Facebook for a long time.

Buharinomics is Working

I can see why former President Jonathan could oversee the most odious looting of the treasury with the way Nigerians are reacting to the current state of the economy. The Buhari government has made it clear that it is determined to wean us off importation and what this means for a country that imports virtually everything from eggs to toothpicks is that people will feel the pain initially.

However,  the Buhari government's economic policy of stifling frivolous imports and not officially sanctioning the devaluation of the naira is working as the manufacturing industry is beginning to grow.  There is evidence for this assertion here http://communityvoiceradio.com/chinese-auto-firm-to-set-up-assembly-plant-in-calabar/ and http://nairametrics.com/bua-group-and-this-chinese-company-will-build-a-1-9b-steel-plant-in-nigeria

The same with agriculture http://www.nairaland.com/2904854/anambra-begins-vegetable-export-uk

Yes,  there are initial pains but if Nigerians support the government and stop the addiction for imported items,  we will be on the way to long-lasting and sustainable economic growth and development.

Despite the problems with the budget which proper scrutiny from the National Assembly can help address,  it still has a large focus on infrastructure development that will benefit the economy and citizens in the middle to long term.

Our duty as citizens is to look at ways of helping to make things better as the government fights corruption and implements structural reform of our economy not to whine about not being able to continue our destructive habits of wasteful spending and unnecessary importation for temporary gain.

While this service is more India-centric, people from other countries would find it useful and here is how to get on-board courtesy Techzim.

Then add all the ‘WhatsApp Bot’ contacts to this group and your done.
If you want to add someone else to the group for them to enjoy the fun you can, but remember to ask them first before adding them to any group – it’s the courteous thing to do.
Once the group is created an automatic message will be sent by the bot advising that you are subscribed to FREE Football updates. If you’re not a fan of football, reply with -football to unsubscribe. You can do this at any time.

How A Lamp Could Save Nigeria's Economy

Nigeria is currently experiencing an economic crisis that is making it difficult to finance her budget and the central bank is trying every trick in the book to strengthen the naira which is experiencing a free-fall at the parallel market in comparisons to the dollar and other major international currencies like the euro and pound.

One of the problems which the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and the federal government have pointed-out to Nigerians is that we import practically everything from toothpicks to eggs, from petrol to cars. This means the country is not earning enough dollars to give the naira strength when the price of crude oil Nigeria's major source of income has fallen drastically to an average of $30 per barrel.

Monetary policy has shifted towards banning imports of items not considered essential for the manufacturing sector of the economy and it is therefore quite refreshing to see Nigerians beginning to manufacture electric lamps locally even if the finishing can be better. As you can see the product is made of plastic and LED bulbs powered by batteries.

Millions of dollars are spent on importing lamps especially from China each year. Hence, this effort is appreciated and should be supported. The more locally-produced goods and services we consume,, the better for us and our country.
